チスイコバエ科（チビコバエ科）　Carnidae

チスイコバエ科（CARNIDAE）は、世界に6属90種が知られる科で、1-2mmの小型の双翅目（Brake, 2011）。

鳥などに寄生して吸血する種のほか、腐肉などに集まる種などがいる。

2017年現在、日本からは3種が知られる。北半球に広く分布するトリチスイコバエ Carnus hemapterus が2000年に発見され、本科の日本初記録となった（Iwasa et al., 2000）。また、沖縄県からも Carnus orientalis が記録されている（Iwasa et al. 2014）。

2011年に、ヨーロッパから極東にかけて分布する Meoneura triangularis が東京都で記録されたが（田悟, 2011）、その後の研究により、これはM. triangularisではない別種であることが分かり、新種 M. issunboshii として記載された（Stuke and Tago, 2017）。

トリチスイコバエは、アオゲラやブッポウソウ、ハシボソガラスなどの雛に寄生するほか、人体に寄生して皮膚炎を起こした事例も知られる（Iwasa et al., 2008）。

Carnidae is the family of Diptera, Schizophora, including six genera and 90 species in the world (Brake, 2011).

Three species of Carnidae, Carnus hemapterus, Carnus orientalis and Meoneura issunboshii are known from Japan (Iwasa et al, 2000, 2014; Stuke and Tago, 2017).
